Good day, ladies and gentlemen,
It is an honour to finally be able to open up Shatterbridge to the people who helped to create it. A big thank you for all the time and effort put in collectively that has made Shatterbridge what it is now in the opening stages. It is time to continue our world-building through the narrative to come.
If you have any lingering questions, feel free to ask me on the forum or through Skype.
The Prologue
Our first step is for each player to make a thread here in the War Room with their character name as the title.
Then, date your post according to the Timeline. I suggest that your prologue takes place no later than ten years before the official game start in the AS year 2485. This is so that the characters you meet in your prologue can be relevant later on in the game, and that everybody's prologue events can easily tie into the story at the start date.
So, what else should your first post contain? It is actually up to you. Your introductory post, made by you, is the post that is introducing me, as the Game Master, to your character. You can set up a scene in the game world, narrating the life-story of your character. You can do this through character interactions, or just through the thoughts of your character - however you wish. This is, after all, your character.
Make the introductory post as long or as short as you like. Simply include what information you want me to know.
Then I will reply, presenting your character with the first choices to be made that begin your journey.
Let the tales begin.
